It a book of vampire poetry and I though it wound be something fun to read. I will be reading this and putting a review up soon but there are a few books in my TBR that I need to get to first.
The intro was a little slow with the letter writing but once I got to the two Charter Gwen and Edward meeting I really enjoy the book. I love that Edward was not the perfect looking guy if anything I liked that about him. And how Gwen was not so eager to jump him for his money. There was friendship that turned into love I love this book because of that. The love seen was beautiful in mind and I wish it wound not have ended badly but the ending was happy so it was good. I hope to read more from this series and other books by Cassandra Dean.
A retelling of Hades and Persephone. In the upper city Persephone is living her life with a mask just trying to live and tell her 25 birthday. When she find out that her mother Dionysus set her to the Hera and marry Zeus. So she chose to run from the upper city to the lower city crossing over the river Styx into the arms of the Hades a myth and bogy man of the upper city. She finds herself in the middle of a war that has been on the brink of raging for many years. But in that she makes a deal with Hades to be at his mercy and she finds herself loving being his pet. But in the upper city Zeus and her mother both are trying to put a stop to it. I loved this book I give this 4.5 stars out of 5. It is a adult book with lots of sex so this is not for kids but if you like some spice then give it a try.
The Geisha with the Green Eyes by India Millar This book at the start at least made me think of Memoirs of a Geisha By Arthur Golden because of the girl with the weird color eyes being green and not the normal brown but as I read it became its own book. Some nitpicks I have with it are the terms Geisha and Prostitute seem to mean the same thing. Were that is wrong Geisha were women who were known for their art in dance, Music, and conversation. And well Prostitute wound be for sex. But over that large problem I had with the book I liked it. I like the fact that the charters had flaws that most wound have been in the streets or worse at the time. So they were Lucky to be living in this place even if they were slaves to be sold for sex. As Midori No Me virginity was sold at thirteen to start her life as Geisha. And as she see the floating world and grows within it. She finds that everything she is told about the world outside the hidden house i...
