This was a retelling of snow queen with a steampunk vibe or at the vary least that what the title says. This story is good but I really did not see anything about the story the snow queen it was more of a love triangle with Lord John , Doctor Kai and Elyse. Lord John and Elyse were lover and then there was Kai who was her best friend since they were children.
Elyse worked as a actress in a threader being one of there stars that season. The night of one of her prominence after she was spending time with her best friend Kai when he was called to save someone who had fallen into the freezing water of the frozen lake. The worked together to save the man. who later saves her from making a huge change that would change her life.
I liked this story for what it was and give it 3.5 stars out of five. But did not see what this books was described as being a steam puck snow queen. Maybe I missed it maybe I didn't. It's a good love story with a little magic. So if that is what you want then give it a read if not then well happy reading what ever you like reading.
